Default XB Spoiler Question...

Has anyone taken apart the stock spoiler on the XB? I am wondering if it is hollow? I have the micro XM antenna and I am wondering if I could stuff it inside the spoiler to hide it. Thanks

I have not taken it apart, but I can guarantee you it is not solid. Having installed mine, I know it is light, and it would be ridiculous to think it is solid given modern manufacturing techniques.

Now that I think about it, the spoiler cannot be taken apart - it's all one piece.

Don't hide your antenna imho. You'll lose quite a bit of reception from changing the mounting location to an internal structure. My personal favorite spot is to place the antenna smack dab in the center on the back. With the spoiler there, it's not an easy item to see.

That is where I have mine. Looks good. And I agree with not putting the antenna inside anything. It needs line of sight to work well. When I first read your post I just thought you were running the wires for it through the spoiler. Putting the whole thing in it is definitely not the way to go.
