Somethings definitally wrong with what you did. Try taking the bulbs back out and see what happens.

Check all fuses.

On the check engine light thread can any obd2 scanner work on the xb or does it work on the can system. I am fixing a 2006 with 56 miles and its light are on. It also runns really crummy. It was in a wreck with only 56 miles on the odometer. I have yet to fill the radiator.......would that cause a super rough idle?

well - try disconnecting the battery for 15 + minutes (i left mine overnight)

all that you touched were the tail lights? check that the wires didnt 'catch' something and ground, (the insulation isnt so thick that a good scrape can remove it)

Lots of problems are simple fixes...if someone can help you out. Perfect example is the "maint req'd" light. If you change your own oil/filter, why go to a dealer to reset that booger?

Default fixed

Yup, i tried disconnecting the battery and checking the gas cap cover.
After backtracking with the bulbs using trial and error i think it was the LED bulbs that i bought. Problem is fixed!! =)

I had found a older thread with someone who had a similar problem when they changed bulbs too. Anyways heads up to everyone to let ya guys know that the problem with the VSC,ABS, and traction control light can be caused by the bulb

I had the same problem. This is no reason to take your car to a dealer, this is why we have a forum. I put let tail light bulbs in and mine came on. Take them out, make sure all your other lights are working and then check the fuses inside the car. Fix the one that blew and they will reset.

Thats some great info. One more question though. When you guy got the check engine and other lights did you have and running issues other than the bulbs wired incorrectly. Did the cross wire of the bulbs make your rig run poorly??
