Less rotational mass for better breaking and better throttle response.

a thinner side wall is going to give you better handling, due to less roll. But there are tires out there that have stiff bigger sidewalls.

MotoForge 18" wheels are said to weigh 16 ibs.! Now thats light! MotoForge is also one of the very very very very very few companies that does their own forging. Other companies are outsourced. So rest assure their quality is top notch! www.motoforge.com

Lighter wheels also help keep the tire in contact with the road surface over bumps, less weight = easier to control with the springs and shocks.

Kosei and SSR from Tire Rack are also very light.

centerline can also be included to the rotary forged club...
what i like about them is that they are one of the few wheel companies that carry a rotary forged 19" wheel -- lightweight and great lookin at the same time
i was originally leaning heavily toward the Vantage

No need to ***** out your sponsor in every wheel thread.

If you want expensive custom made wheels, also consider iForged, HRE, Boyd Coddington (they make custom forged wheels now), Fikse, and BBS.

hey someone help me wipe some noses.
i sure see a lot of them being a little brown..

___ kissing is just a part of the scion community jay. u just gotta deal with it.
just like 16x6.5 + 50 on nangkang ____ chi racing tires.

oh btw, plenty of companies do their own forging, but who here actually has the money to play?
http://www.work-wheels.co.jp
http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/
http://www.speedstar.co.jp

those are have nice forged wheels, the outer lip, the face, are ALL of it.
retailing for 500+ a rim, i rahter go with a REAL rim brand.
i wish i can get 'SPONSORED' and get some cheap or near free rims.

but please don't EXCLUDE real rim companies out their that do have quality wheels.

as for making their own wheels, volk racing makes STI, TRD, MAZDASPEED, AND NISMO rims. hey with almost ALL the major japanese car manufactorer going to them to make rims, i think they're just as good as motoforge.

Sorry if I offended anyone... Danred7 asked a question and I answered it to the best of my ability and offered a bit of advice that I know. As for "advertising" I don't do it anymore than anyone else on the forum when they come accross a good company. my bad.

I want those 5Zigen FN01R-Cs myself...but even those are a little pricey for me.... seems like Rota Attacks (Gram Light copies) are for me...
