Default Ride quality on 19's?

ok, when I started thinking about upgrading my wheels, Istarted with 17's and then said well 18's would look all the better. Now all of the sudden I'm thinkin about goin with 19's with gold line springs. I know my ride is going to suffer, anybody want to weigh in on ride quality on larger wheel packages?

I'm all set to pull the trigger on wheels, just want to make sure I'm not doin somethin I'll regret. BTW, I'm looking at the Axis Mesh 2's

thanks

If you prefer looking cool to looking comfortable go for it...personally I would never put that large of a wheel on a car...to me i think they look stupid and non functional and can hurt your driving exsperience and braking considerably.

Actually the ride is not too bad, I have 19's on both the Supra and the xB and it feels alright...guess I'm just use to it. I've also ran 18's w/ 35 & 40 series on the xb, even 15'" axis maglites w/ 60 series and they do feel alittle better...but I keep going back to the 19's, just makes the car look better. good luck on your decision. Peace

And not unless you've actually ran on 19's can you make certain statements.

I agree with Nilo also I think a lot has to do with a combination between springs/struts & shocks. I am running 19 with TRD/Waydo springs, struts, shocks and the ride to me is a little better than just running springs.

Run real full coilovers, and even 19's would feel smoother than stock.

some coilovers make the car run stiffer due to the fact that coilovers are made for autocrossing so you want to feel the road. just look into adjustable ride struts for the front and shocks fo the rear.....maybe tokico made an illumina, or konis....check it out

I hope to be installing the HKS hipermax coilovers within the next week (had these coilovers almost a month) been waiting on the Hotchkis sway bar kit. I don't think I will be disappointed with the ride but will do a follow up after the install…
