TRD Lowering springs?
I've ordered TRD 18" wheels, should be in next week. I was thinking about putting on the lowering springs. Do they cause the 18s to rub? Should I replace the shocks as well? How will it effect the ride vs. handling? Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks

hey
The TRD lowering kit ( shocks and springs) works great. You get your car lookin good and at the same it handels better. You feel like youre more in control with your car. I would suggest getting the springs and the shocks at the same time, because the springs are made for the TRD shocks and im not sure how well it would handel if u just has the springs. Hope this helps

many have said that the trd springs are stiff. I have heard that the trd shocks and struts are also stiff. Together the will probably be stiff, if you like cornering, this will be be a good combo. If you want a smooth ride, I'd go with the 2" GoldLine springs and stock shocks and struts.
I agree with Randy, one of our members has trd and he says they are stiff. Goldlines give you good handling good ride and the money you don't spend on buying shocks, thats exhaust and intake. Bill
i have the trds with 18s... they are a bit stiff. maybe just a touch more than the stock springs... they only put you a little more than an inch lower, but i like this look... dont waste the money on the trd struts though... oh yeah there is no rubbing depending on the offset of the wheels and which tire you go with... my wheels are 18x7.5 with and offset of +40...tires are 215/35/18... the best thing i like about the trds is that i need not worry about warranty stuff, but thats just me
hope this helps..... i got pics in my profile too if you wanna check it out
