Default I cracked a rim. so i got some new ones!

I cracked a rim on some messed up pavement and i had a decision to make. should i replace the one rim? or should i get all new rims and a fresh set of tires. I had the stock 18's that scion puts on the xb and i never was in love with them and replacing that one along with a new pirelli was going to be a littley pricey so i went for the new rims and tires. check these out and tell me what you think. i think they look nice with the tcm color but let me know how you feel. also, what else do you think i should look into? any comments and suggestions are welcome. Thanks alot!

yeah i for sure need some tire shine, i drove straight from the place that put the tires on and took pictures. thats why they look so bad. They are 17's so they are a little bit smaller than my old ones but i like them. I know there are 1000 threads about springs but now that you see what i have do you have any suggestions on what i should get?

Seems like Tanabe DF210's and Tein S-Techs are the most popular here.

thanks for the quick reply, the tanabes have more of a drop and the s-tech's are a bit more comfortable right?i am also looking into getting either some konis or some monroes. i was thinking about the stechs with the monroes on the back. what are some competitive prices on the stechs and tanabes?

It all depends on the vendor you go through. Typical price is around $150-$175.

Nice wheels Bro! I like how they make it look like there are 5 lugs. Plus they are very similar to the TRDs without all the headaches of 18's or 19's. They also must ride alot better.Post up picks after the springs and tire shine is installed.

hey thanks for the comments. i am really pleased with the new rims and tires. when i was first looking for an xb i wanted the trd rims but it didnt work out so this is a good compromise for me. i liked the 18s but these 17s almost look as big and the ride is soso much better. i have the tires all shined but no springs yet. i was thinking about the s-techs or the tanabes but im not sure. how do you like the Hotchkis springs? Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks again!

Are you sure those are 17's? They look more like 15's with a chubby tire. Here, look at my 17's with a 205/45 on them and you'll see what I mean,,,

yeah i sort of see what you mean, but they are 17s the tire isnt that much more beefy that what you have, they are 215/40's. i was looking at a picture of my old 18s and my new ones really dont look that much smaller. but i think the camera angle in the first photo and the lack of a drop are making them look smaller than they really are. Thanks for the comments though.
