Default Consumer Reports: xB on Best Wagon & Hatch List

The 30 mpg is about right, based on my own observation of my 2004 xB's mileage...

I wonder why the xA was left off of that list...and isn't the Matrix the same as the Vibe?

And that's probably why they listed the Pontiac version; didn't want to seem biased, now did they?

I guess it's ok to restate this CR information but I believe this is old information. I am a regular reader of CR and saw this info months ago.

The Pontiac Vibe is a domestic car manufactured by GMC, whereas the Matrix is made by Toyota. Not the same as GMC/Chevy clone senario.

And ya, I would imagine the xA would be on that list, but then again, it might not be considered in the same catagory.

Default It's because...

It's because the xA is not a wagon according to the US gov't and toyota, it's a small car. xB is officially listed as a station wagon. This is great because wagons are typically lower insurance rates even than minivans LOL.

I wonder how thr RAV-4 fit into the mix?
I was looking at one the other day and the MPG was 23/28 on the AWD. Sounds like I may trade in the Liberty for one of them.
