I just had my Tanabe Df210 installed on my xb and i have the trd shocks, the bump stops where not cut which tanabe recomends, anybody not cut theres and have any problems or should i just do the obviouse and go back and have them cut them? THanks for any help

im runnin on teins stechs and i didn't cut my bumpstops i have no prob so far they been on for a year now

 

cool i just didnt know if it was worth it to pull apart the front suspension again, anybody else?

 

I have the exact same set up as you (Tanabe springs, TRD shocks). I used the stock bump stops, and I didn't cut them. Even though Tanabe says to cut them I wouldn't because you need that extra cushion for hard bumps......

By not cutting the bumpstops you are limiting the travel of the shock body to only a few inches, if that, and it could become a problem once the springs settle and when you have a heavy load or multiple passengers in the car. Cutting them allows for more dampening of the shock over bumps. I've cut mine, and I would reccommend having them cut, but it is a matter of personal preference.

My DF210's did not come with bumpstops either.

 

ill leave mine uncut... doesn't make a difference on the drop but it will when a nice pot-hole comes around gives you a lil more flex room.... its not like the bumpstop is made of metal it will flex... but yeah personal preference...
