...on 17X7" rims with a one inch lip, and a 42 offset? I want that VIP look, but can't afford to buy the NKB mesh rims in the classifieds.

You won't really get the same stance. You'd need the spacer and camber combo shims for sure. Also might need spacers on all 4 wheels to push them out enough. Even then it may look the same. Just mho.

yeah, if you space it out and get them almost flush with the fenders it'll look mean. if, though, they are sunken in and you camber them, they may look bad and might rub the rear shocks.

Dont do it with those wheels. YOu need to get some low offset, big lip wheels to be cambering. YOu will just look dumb goen done the road.

IMO, 7" on 42 offset is too much to shim/space out. Do you have the wheels already?

You would want an et25 or less to look good with camber IMO. You'd want a decent lip too, typical ricer rims won't cut it.

Here's the rims, they are about all I could afford. I like them a lot, but would like a nice 4" lip.

If you're not rubbing, you don't need negative camber - unless it's for some kind of performance reasons.

If you want the VIP look, get at least 8" wide wheels or wider and at least +25 offset or lower. With these minimum specs, then you might need negative camber.

Additionally, stay away from sporty looking wheels if you want a VIP look.

since its seven inches wide, you can make it a 0 offset in the rear. so that means is can be spaced out 42mm.... as for the front i would get a 25mm or maybe even a 30mm spacer.

you don't need a big lip to make the cambered look fly... you just need to learn how to do it right.

Camber shims on a solid axle is a waist of money. It will look like the axle is bent. Keep the tires vertical. Rear shims to bring the wheels out to match the fronts are ok though. Check out www.onetongarage.com
Oh killer wheels Bro! Post up pics when mounted.

I really like the look of those boxes man! :D Thanks bBoxdin.

Now It looks like the only way to get that stance is to run an air setup?

Is that safe? At all? Is that number divided across both sides?

(sorry, I really don't know)

I don't know, and am trying to find out if the lug nut studs would be long enough after spacing out the wheel so much.

wrong about the axle thing... the rear axle flexes i go through tires int he rear more than i do in the front... i do a heavy cornering... and the rear wheel are already camber but not in the neg... its at +1.25... and you really don't need to camber unless it really performance wise... and if you do get it for looks and you want to save your tires get the nitto neo gen... no camber wear nittotire.com
