Default does anyone know

does anyone know the compression of the frunt spring assembly saabs are 40 so they launch when you take it apart and a subaru is about 6 so it just pops off with ease. I am just curious I was trying to find it but I couldnt. sorry if Im not using the right terminology.

mm, it's not much. I did it without a spring compressor, and I'm still here. Just be careful.

The first one had a little pop to it, and the second, with the same consideration, flew 5 feet up the driveway.

somebody was lookin out for me, becasue normally, after I do something once, i think i'm an expert.

it helps to have a second person helping you and tighten the nut back down when you have it installed back on your car with the full weight on 'em

just make sure you line up the tabs on the struts with the front coil spring upper that sits on top of the dust sheild boot

i have done 6 spring installs on xb's, two of which were earlier today, and i did both of them today without spring compressors.... when they popped off, they just bounced like 7 or 8 inches, not a big deal
