Wheel / Tire Problem 225-40-18's(pees Help!)
I am Going to be getting a set of PerfectlyRound 18 x 7.5 Wheels. (not sure whatelse info on it)
And i am hoping to go with a set of 225 tires... unfortunately the only set i can get would be 225 40 18's. Can i run these on the box, what will happen, has anyone tried these, what will have to be done via.... offset, and spacers? will i have to worry about the front or only the rear.... and for some reason no one can tell me how offset is achieved, is it a bolt on mod or what?
Please help me out on this forum, i have searched the other topics, and posts, and can only find general faqs on wheels / tires, none of which help me with my problem, and alot about those damned tC owners.... :D
Help Porfavor.....

18x7.5 can work. 225/40/18 can work. That doesn't mean that they WILL work.
You have to make sure that the offset is right to know if your wheels will work. Anything over about a +40 offset and you will want to run some (OTG) spacers in the rear.
The tires will work as well, depending on whether or not you are dropped. And if you are dropped, it will depend on how much, and what your wheel offset is. So until we get all of the facts, no one will be able to say for sure.

I have 18x8 with 225 40 18 with trd springs for about 10,000 with no problems what so ever. the ride i think is better with the 40 series because it helps out with the drop and the insanely large pot holes. oh yea in case your are wondering my wheels are 40 offset snd i am running spacers on the back.
thanks for the help.... like i said i have no idea about offset. from what i can find out it is manufactured with offset???? i don't have any drop right now, but will probably go with a set of springs approx 2 in drop until i save the money to coilovers or bag it.
so the fronts i won't have a problem with, but i'll have to put spacers in the rear.... hey dux...... how much mm you spacing? and that runs fine?

ok asked around, foun dout 25mm will be to much. now i am scared what will be too little. i am thinkin 15mm will be perfect to solve the problem of clearing the rear suspension, and i shouldn't have any problems with the front.
thanks alot guys...
