Thats what I'm about to do and I'm nervous that it will look ____ty and I wont get 17s or 18's for a month or so.
How much will the TRD stuff change the way it rides?

 

I did a 2" drop with goldline springs back in January and I'm still on the stock steelies. For me, the drop was the cheapest mod with the highest impact. The way I see it when I can afford new shoes I can have them set next to the car and get a pretty good visual of how they'll look. The ride is about the same as stock, some say smoother. Just do it!!!

 

will i get rub with 18' dub trump spinners with goldline drop?

 

Depends on rim and tire width

 

they would be 7.5 wide and i can buy any tires? what would be good?

 

I dropped my car the first day I brought it home on the steelies. I got my wheels 3 days later. No problems here.

 

I'm dropping the wife's 1" with no wheels for a while. both the xA and xB need at least a 1" just to look stock

 

i dropped my xA on tanabe's before I got my rims ... I was completely satisfied even w/o the rims cuz the car just looks right. Ya know what I mean??

 

I've been running on the goldlines and stock wheels for a couple month's now. It's as good a place to start as any.

I'd recommend doing it in steps so you can feel the difference of each mod...

 

I dropped my box on tanabe's 2 months ago... still rolling on the stock alloys ... gotta get my wheels .. I'm sick of the swirlies

bought the xB last week of Jan. dropped it by April, and said thats it! just wait until i fully used the stock wheels & tires.
i ordered wheels last week and scheduled to receive tomorrow. will buy tires afterwards and that would be it!!! or would it?

 

I ordered rims first cuz I new they were not coming in for 2-3 months I bought springs 2 months later. All of it arrived together on time.

 

I'm going to get my rims first. I got such a deal I couldn't turn it down, and, I have no frigging idea which springs I want yet. So, when I post pics of my rims I don't wanna hear, "Where's the flood?", and "Cool 4x4."

 

my springs were here before the car was. i had the springs on the third day i had the car and the rims in the next 2 days

 

Bought and Dubbed with 7 miles on the box!!

Yeas, that's right, had 7 miles and dubbed with TIS 20"s !
Within a week dropped it 2"s with Eibach's. Big Tiime Rubbing. Changed springs to TRD 1" drops and it's smooth operator and doing just fine. (Don't just drop it - Dub it!)
