Springs are very simple to install. Infact, I have installed springs by myself, it's more of a time consuming exercise.

cool i have TRDs on my xA. They arent the biggest drop. It gives the xA a more natural look instead of the 4x4 look.

It did turn out to be pretty easy, although time consuming. Now that I've done it once and learned the ins and outs, I could do it much quicker if I had to do it again.

TRD says it's a 1" drop and that it does not change suspension geometry. It makes a big difference in appearance. The huge gap from the top of the tire to the wheel well lip is gone. I paid $167 including shipping.

hi, i was just wondering if you also had the trd suspenion? we have it on are's but when going over just about any bump there is a rather loud noise coming from the front. i want to believe that is because the car is new with only 107 miles, we got it a couple of days ago. but i was wondering if you had the same problem with the noise? thanks

Nope, just the TRD springs. My car has 400 miles on it and the springs have only been on for about 25 miles. I took it for a thorough test drive when I finished the install. No pulling, no weird noises etc. The only thing I can think of is that the top of front strut assembly is NOT symetrical. If the wrong side was installed outward that could cause the spring to rub on the strut. That's just a guess though. I could verify by feeling the top of the strut through the wheel well. There should be a flat spot on the strut end plate and a bump in the strut boot facing toward the outside of the car.

The noise you are hearing was probably due to someone not paying attention to what they were doing during the installation of the struts. Either the spring isn't seated on the strut correctly or there is an alignment issue with the strut components.

In any case my TRD struts have never made that sound even with the Tanabe DF210 springs I'm using. I would have it looked at by a service tech, or if you are experienced with suspension installations give it a look-see.

hi , i just wanted to updater you, we went to the dealership yesterday and had them take a look ate the car. the tech. put in the wrong space which created to much space and allowed for the noise, but now is is fine and drives smoother too. thanks for the info it really helped.

i always feel like a chump going to the dealership for something so dumd, i need a garage, it was such an easy fix but i have no where here at school/college to work on my stuff, oh well i'll quite complaining

That's funny, for the TRD springs, there is no need to change the stock strut stop or rubber spring end cap. How could he have used the wrong ones?

well i don't know what he did for sure but he said that he had a less thick spacer in which created the noise, he said he did that because he thought the stock spacer would effect the lower springs, since outside of the car they appeared to him to be rather large with the stock spacer, so he put in the smaller one in. but when we went back and he took a look at the springs he changed the spacer back to the original. which got rid of the noise. this is all what he said, i don't know if he changed the strut stop or the rubber spring end cap, he did not tell us. but maybe the part he put in came with the trd struts and shocks?

good point you have the TRD shocks and struts. my shocks and struts are the ones that came on the car. i only installed the TRD springs, not the shocks and struts.
