Default Good deal on these DR11's?

I'm planning on getting these wheels this summer. I've been doing my research and getting help for the month or two from everywhere here. A friend has a friend who owns a shop and he said he can order these wheels, put on tires (dont know what kind), and install them for about $800 + $180 for the drop with whatever springs I choose.

These wheels alone usually go for between $400-600 (with or without shipping), and then wheels is another $400 plus installation fees.

Does this sound like a good deal, or does that sound about average, nothing special? I'm just wondering, because if I can just but all this myself and take it to any shop, it might come out about the same. I went through his friend because he was able to give wheels to me at wholesale and cut me some slack on installation. I dont know how much that usually is.

Anywho, all I know is on ebay, things are pretty cheap, but there are fakes and wannabes that you have to be careful of, which he also said, which might be the reason some are so cheap.

Any suggestions, comments are appreciated

It depends...

What size wheels are they? 17s or 18s?
Also, exactly what kind of tires is he putting on? Hi Performance? Ultra High Performance? All-Season or Summer? Pirelli's or Falcon's or No-Name cheap brand? Tires are very important to how your car performs or lack therof.

the $180 fee for dropping your car sounds pretty high... Will computerized alignment be included for $180? The most I've been quoted for spring installation is $120 + $60 for alignment. Some places will install for as low as $60 so long as you purchase the springs from them.

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure what tires but he said the wheels (17's) and tires were $800. The springs themselves are just $180, I think he included that in the installation.

In otherwords $980 for everything. I'm going to check back with him one more time and see, hes going to kept me solid prices.
