So I got a new set of Sport Max wheels (15in) swapped out with the factory tires today. Also installed the Tanabe DF210 springs which REALLY lowered it a lot more than I expected already.

nice...sportmax wheels are pretty cool...just got my set bout a week ago...the DF210s are nice too. i run the df210s with waydo shocks and with the 15x8s on 185-60 tires...ride is so smooth.

 

How is the ride with it lowered? Mine is an everyday commuter and I want to lower it but dont want the harsh ride.

The ride is very nice. Actually feels a bit softer than stock.

Racer...I was looking for a deeper rim, but ended up liking the look of these despite their lack of a deep dish.

 

That looks low as all hell...and that's on the stock 15 tires? How'd you get it that low with the DF210s? Is it because of the shocks you installed too?

 

Toy bB, those look nice! I had an opportunity to get sponsored for those wheels but my girl wasn't feeling them since it's her xB.

 

well ive had my car since about june 04 so pretty much the springs have settled to the max, if you just installed your DF210s, then they will settle and get lower in time. my car is about 1 finger gap all around with the 185-60s. maybe the shocks played a part with it since they were about an inch shorter.

 

Toy_bB: are those 15x8 with zero offset? they are rubbing the fender front and back?

 

Are you sure those are not NF210?

The DF210 springs are some of the lowest you can buy for the xB. You don't look that low.

The overall ride looks great. Nice wheels too. Just doesn't look like a 2.2" drop

Is that a driveway or a half-pipe? You must scrape the whole underside twice a day.

 

Ya the driveway is pretty steep, but I don't scratch. I have a Corvette, the xB is my wife's. ride, and it doesn't scrape either. I was worried it would when I got it but luckily i still have a few inches clearance.

They are DF210's, I'm sure of that. The DFs advertised a 2" drop, but these probably just need time to settle. These pics were taken within an hour of leaving the shop so it will probably settle slightly lower over time.

She's pretty cool about that stuff. She knows I wouldn't do anything that's stupid and would only make the car more "Fun".

Plus she likes to spend $$ just as much as I do!

yea the wheels are 15x8 zero offset..my fenders are rolled with 185-60 tires...no rubbing issues on normal driving...even some hard dips its fine....ive only encountered rubbing on very very hard dips and the rubbing was because of hitting the fender liner so far i can see. with a tiny camber kit youll have no problems.

Do your tires rub against the fender? I'm getting mine's soon. I have df210 with stock shocks.
