The springs won't change the ride drastically, in order to do that I would suggest changing the shocks, struts, and the springs all at once. For a one inch drop look into the above mentioneed springs. I have the TRD package. I didn't notice too much of a ride hieght change, only when I am next to another xB can I tell a difference. As far as ride quality, it's a bit less bumpy but it's not too noticable either. Do search, I have heard changing the shocks and struts to the Koni or Monroe shocks and struts changes the ride quality. I know there was a post about changing the rear shocks to koni's and the ride being better. Good luck and don't forget the search function chances are if you want to know about it someone else has already asked.

For a comfortable ride you'll need new shocks/struts. The stock ride on the xB is pretty stiff as it is. Any drop will increase the spring rate, and make it more stiff.

If you're just changing the springs, there is a thread on SL that lists all of the spring rates for all the aftermarket springs available. Just choose the softest spring. They will, however, still be stiffer than your stock springs, but what you sacrifice in ride quality, you make up for in better handling and overall appearance.

I have TRD Springs on my 06 3.0 Xb with the stock struts and shocks and it rides excellent , stiffer than stock but not bumpy .

I also have a set of Hotchkis springs ( installed Today ) on my Daughters 06 Xb and it also rides great , The hotchkis springs are 1/4 in lower front and back than the trd springs , it also has the stock struts and shocks , ride quality is also excellent

other than the 1/4 inch difference the ride is pretty much the same .

If comfort is your main concern just get Htechs or NF210's and some Monroes Sensatracs all around... you'll be set.
