Another cry for offset help
I'm on the verge of buying some 18" wheels for my xB and I'd like some feedback on whether you think I'll need some spacers. I'd like to get the wheels flush w/ the fender or slightly tucked since I want to lower it by 1.5-2.0" and would like to avoid rubbing.
Wheel (Tire) specs: 7.5x18" & 42mm offset ( 215/35/18 )
The guy at the shop says the rears might need something small like 5mm to keep from rubbing on the suspension, and after reading lots of info on the forums, I'm thinking that 10mm in the rear might be more appropriate.
Any thoughts on spacers for the front/back? Thanks for any feedback

Your fitment will be fine. And you are right about the spacers. Get yourself a set of 10mm OTG spacers. http://www.precisionmuffler.com is an excellent source, and where I got the spacers for my wife's xB. Her car is on 18x7.5 with a +45 offset. And there is more than enough room for that additional 3mm you are considering to tuck in the rear.
Thanks for the reply. I've heard everyone talking about OTG spacers and shims. I'm now considering going w/ the shims as they seem safer and are the same price.
I'm pretty sure I'll order the wheels today!
After thats done and I get the wheels on, choosing springs (and maybe shocks) is a whole other monster. I'm considering Tanabe DF210's, Goldline, or ??. I just want to make sure the ride is near stock as possible (or better), as I've heard some people say its possible w/ the right combo of 18" wheels & springs.

I just ordered a set of DF210s last week. As soon as I get a chance I will be installing them on her xB. It would have been done already, but I was busy with a stereo install. Hopefully by the end of next week I will have them installed. I can let ou know then how they ride with the 18s.
I just put my wheels on today with the same specs as yours. I car run them without spacers but they are on the way and will give me more room on the suspension. I did have to remove a wheel weight cause it was rubbing.
