Headlight Adjustment?
Yeah, I get flashed all the time. I actually had some guy slow down in front me one night forcing me to pass and then he stayed right on my a$$ with his high beams on. ____ed me clear off, but I wasn't about to get caught in a road rage incident...too many rednecks with shotguns around here.
I got flashed more often in the xB than in any other car, especially after adding a aftermarket brighter clear h4 bulb.
I finally realized that I had to adjust the headlights, and have not been flashed in several months.

I used to get flashed all the time. Even when level at intersections with other cars. I noticed this ever since I got my 05 xb. I took it to my dealer to them to check it out. They found one of the head lights out of adjustment. Adjusted it for free and I have not had any problems since.

hmm... i think part of my problem is my xB is a$$ heavy due to stereo set up... looking at its profile you can see the rear sitting lower than front... figure i'll need to get new springs/shocks soon.... tho.. maybe i should adjust the headlights down till then...
where exactly is the adjustment on them?? i havent really looked at them yet

I also got flashed a lot. Turned the drivers side adjuster half turn down and the other side down three quarter turn down. If you look at the headlight adjuster from the front of your box, the adjuster has a screwdriver slot on top that lets a flatblade screwdriver engage the teeth. If you turn the screwdriver clockwise, it turnes the **** towards the drivers side, lowering your lights. I cheated and just grabed the adjuster with my hand and turned it My passenger side light was shining higher than the drivers side. Thats why i turned it more. Don't get flashed near as often now.
Bear in mind that our stock headlights are angled to shine up on the right side. This can be confused with the headlights being out of adjustment. If you park in front of a wall and turn on your headlights you'll notice that both of them shine higher on the right side of the wall. This is by design.
