Default Pix with my coilovers installed (TEIN BASICS) 56k caution

So i took off my goldline drop springs cuz my stock shocks decided to give up and chose to give Tein Basic coilovers a shot..anyone looking to get coilovers i can vouch..the ride iis rediculously smooth...its like riding in a luxury suv...can't feel any bumps..back seat butts don't feel anything...it was well worth the investment....hope the pix show the drop..its about 2.5inches now..cuz of my fat tires i can't go any lower..but it can go down another inch or so...enjoy

i've always wanted an action shot:

hey thanks, dugzilla, the coilovers ran me $890...i know it seems like a lot but it was a worthwhile investment...i was going to put on monroe sensatracs or kyb shocks with my goldlines but after my stock shocks gave up after so little miles with the drop springs..i figured that stock replacements like monroes would last about 25-30,000 miles before giving up then i would have to replace all over again...and if you're like me you do a lot of cruisin, i only have 20,000 miles and my stock shocks with the lowered springs gave up..so decided to go with the coilovers which will last much longer and not worry about my suspension every few thousand miles...hope this helps...

thanks, after my shocks/struts give out I will probably go with coilovers. The coilovers replace the shocks and springs, right?

Looks good...When you say your running a fat tire are you running a 17" rim with 215/45/17 tires?

waaaaaaaaaay smoother than stock...driving over bumps is soft and the backseat doesn't feel a thing like when it was stock and it was very noisy back there...its a lot more quiet except for the sound from my tires...

Just so you know, Tein coilovers dont last forever. The dampeners actually need rebuilding just like a normal strut would. usually every 30K.

i just didn't want to have to replace it so soon...so i thought if i made an investment for something high performance it would last a little bit longer and i wouldn't have to pay up too soon...

well you should be fine but remember a dampener is a dampener/ It should last longer than you stock struts did being that this is a matched set up. Most people I know get about 30-35K out of a set of Teins. Some may last longer, but most of my friends autocross and driving through this area is harsh on cars.

The good news that I can give is that TEIN has excellent customer service and having the set rebuilt is not that expensive.

Dont worry, Im sure youll be alright.
