Default XB keyed by pinhead

Some walking pile of goo keyed my XB all along the side. I went to body shop at Scion dealer and they say whole side has to be repainted. Too expensive!! I ordered new vinyl graphic to cover area. Some people dont deserve to walk the earth. This is my 2006 black cherry XB what could be worse?

It happened to me too on my first night moving to our new housing complex. I can feel your pain and understand your anger. People just don't give a damn about other people's property nowadays. Find the culprit and run 'em over.

Happened to me the 2nd day of ownership. I was ____ed , but no matter what there will always be haters. At least you have a car that made someone jealous enough to key it.

I think there is just a bunch of Scion haters out there that just don't like box cars or something. That really sucks. I can't say I've been keyed before, I hope it doesnt happen

Thanks for the support. I agree jealousy is the motive for the damage to my car. I can repair my car but they wont be smart enough to have an XB

That sucks...it's happened to me before too...

The worse part is something eventually bad happens to out cars i.e. getting keyed, dinged by someone opening their door etc. Sometimes I feel like doing it myself and getting it out of the way so I'm not so surprised and/or ____ed...not that I would...but I feel like it sometimes...people suck!!!

Sorry to hear about the keyjob.
I know it doesn't really make a person feel better when you look at the scratches on your car, but your definitely not alone:

Just one of many threads about this kind of thing. Sadly people do it all the time. It's interesting how this car leaves such an impression on people...People always react to it like it's a big deal, but I think they don't realize it's one of the most inexpensive cars out there.

Evilbox i read that other thread and it made me think how people tailgate me. Now that i have new wheels i guess they think i want to race. I only raced the box once- it was a Mazda and he left me in the dust. After that i realized my car is slow so no more racing. But who cares it looks good and gets good gas mileage. Fast rides suk gas so who wants one at 3 bucks a gallon?

I would never be one to advocate insurance fraud. But I know it happens every day, and I know people who have used getting vandalized to their advantage.

Getting keyed on a single panel, or on a couple of panels is nothing but a pain in the @$$ for a vehicle owner. However, getting keyed on EVERY panel can be a blessing in disguise. If a vehicle is keyed on every single panel the whole vehicle must be repainted. And insurance will cover the cost, as long as they don't expect that it is insurance fraud. The nice thing is, most shops are willing to let the customer pay the difference to have a car "jambed" and will do complete color swaps. And at the very least you could end up with a much thicker, stronger factory color paint job than you originally had.

My car got keyed both driver and passenger side, full length of the car. I cashed out, got a full repaint in a different color.
