has anyone painted the black plastic cover.....

im wondering if anyone has painted the black plastic cover that covers the top part of the engine. if so can someone tell me the best process on doing so. any help would be much appreciated.

I was thinking of painting mine also.I think what it looks like is just make sure you clean it really well before you paint it .No need to sand it first.
