Default Sportmax 962 setup

so i was looking around for new wheels and i came across a few.. either the Motegi Touge or Sportmax 962.. i've seen the 962 on the xb with i think 18x8.5 in the rear and 18x9.5 in the rear.. now my question is .. how is the fitment on that.. will the front 18x8.5 fit without rubbing or anything like that? also the 18x9.5 im guessing u have to run spacers with that? well if u do.. what is recommended? also the tire size.. the 18x8.5 will fit 215/35/18? im guessing a lil stretched out? and how about the rear what size? well if anyone knows this setup.. just let me how it works out thanks

stretch the same size tires front and rear.

215's are suggested for 7 inch to 8.5 inch. so a 9.5 aint that bad of a stretch and it will help you clearance wise.

For the 9.5 to fit in the rear, you gotta roll the fenders and add a 15mm spacer. An OTG and 5mm will do. As for tire choice for the rear, go with a 225/35/18 . As for the front 215/35/18 and no spacers will fit.

Once you've rolled the rear fenders and used a spacer (15mm) were there any more rubbing issues on the front or rear?

Yea I still rub a little. I rub going up and down driveways. Im actuallty spaced out about 20mm cause at 15mm the wheel hits the shock cause of the camber and im pretty low in the rear.

The fronts or the backs rub? Could I run these without camber? I am trying to figure out if I can go with this setup for my daily driver, that I drive daily in S.F. which has one of the worst city roads in the states.

The rears rub a little. The front are fine. And yes you can run these without camber. I drive mine daily so you defiantly can to. I obviously don't care about tire wear lol.

You will be fine as long as you roll your fenders. And you cant have anyone in the back seat. You might be able to get away with one person sitting in the middle and leaning foreward lol. I had someone light sit in the back a couple of times when I was on springs and it didnt rub.

good stuff!! i was thinking of going with the similar setup (sportmax 006) and always wondered how mesh wheels would look on a box... but, i think i want to go 18x8.5 in the rear instead?!

by the way, how does the tanabe df210 ride?

Ive driven an xB with Tanabe DF210's and they are like stock. Ride very nicly and give you the best drop next to coilovers.

YEa I was heasetant in getting the wheels cause I wasnt sure if they would look good on an xB. SO i jsut went for it and next thing ya know, everyone likes it. You can go wtih the 8.5 in the rear. It all depends on the look your going for and how crazy you wanna go.
