Default Engine Bay CLean up ideas

I am in need of some Ideas about how to clean up my xB's engine bay. Already painted my engine cover and fuse covers. I also covered some of the hoses with wire loom. BUt I need something BIGGER and BETTER!
Pics and web links would be great.
Thanks

Let's see......
If you painted your engine cover, then you most likely painted over the vvt-i and toyota raised areas on the engine cover. I'd say pick up a set of decals from randode.com to dress it back up. They have quite a few colors and are very inexpensive ($6.00 with shipping). You might also install some cold cathodes to show it off at night, which are available from oznium.com.
I have done both of these, along with chrome wire loom, and it dresses it up very nicely.
I have pics if you're interested.

Thanks Storm. I painted the cover yellow and Painted the VVT-I black and I did the same to the Fuse box and wiper fluid. I have 6 yellow cold cathodes under there already.
What I'm looking for is something for the underside of the hood, and to cover the gap in the front from frame to over the top of the headlights. Ya know smooth it out a bit.

For under the hood, I've seen some really cool banner type things that you might be able to do something with. The ones I've seen have club banners on them, but you could do about anything with it.
Here's a pic of what I'm talking about:

Another cool thing would be stainless steel or some sort of other reflective stuff for under the hood to show off the engine bay. I don't have any pics of that, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

As for covering that gap between the frame over the top of the headlights, maybe some more mirror type material made to cover all of that? It'd probably have to be custom made, but it would look cool.

Is that Scinergy just a decal on the stock under-hood pad?
Do they make a mirror for a replacement? or is that something someone made?

The hood banner is something I just made up. It covers the existing hood pad and
utilizes factory holes in the hood. As for fixing things up, this is what mine looks
like (see below). I have plans for more but I believe in keeping it clean and not to
cluttered. But clean is the key.

Someone else took this photo of my engine (thanks to who ever it was)

Great job! Very Nice!
What did you make the hood banner out of? or is the process a secret... I would like to get something like that that said -#355 RS 2.0-. That would rock hard-core!
I think that mine is too busy with all the wire loom. So I think you are right with the "keep it clean and not cluttered" point.
is that the injen cover? is that the best one?

Thank you for posting the pics Baine!

How did you make the underneath of the hood flat and clean like that?

Frosty, you have the idea now, make some quickie cardboard patterns then make your own
diverters out of whatever material you like - CF, aluminum, Plexi, Masonite, whatever.

Simple 'cut to size, file to fit, paint to match' job. Go for it!

(P.S. How do I get this 'stuff' off my shoes?)

Take care.

It's made from 1/8" black Sintra (TM) an extruded PVC sheet material that is heat
form-able so we can't drive with the hood banners installed. They melt. However, they
do pop on and off easily for storage. The grill diverter is made of the same stuff but
is not subjected to any significant heat and is therefor safe.

Now why didn't I con Geoffrey into making me one of those diverters while he was here in Ames??? Damn distractions!

Anyway, if you want to leave it installed, make the underhood out of stainless:

Made by Ivan down at SCAR in Florida, but I don't think he's doing them anymore. American Car Craft is doing something similar now. Find them at www.americancarcraft.com.

Nice ride, Alex. It'd look better with some Focal F5's though LOL

Those American Car Craft hood liners look sharp, and appear to be nicely made. There's at least one xB with the 'mirrored hood' around here - don't know who made the liner - and it looks really nice with the hood up.
