Default I'm thinking I got a good deal on TRD shocks/struts

So, I decided to go with TRD. Mainly because everyone under the sun has different "facts" about different brands and how their car reacts with them etc.... With the TRD's I know what I am getting. I am riding on H-techs now, but just ordered S-techs and picked up a set of TRD shocks/struts for 225.00 Every place I have called or looked up on line was over 3 hund.

and this was from my local Toyota dealer. Who would have though I would have found the best deal at the dealer? Dude said it had something to do with the part number changing etc.... I think there were a few posts about it that I never really read. Anyway, can't wait.

$225, huh?

Sounds good. I'm gonna check my local dealer.

One thing... If you put in "lower" springs at the same time you upgrade the shocks you might not feel the difference. I believe the S-techs are stiffer than H-techs. Maybe you should run the new springs for a while before you put in the shocks/struts. Just to feel the difference.

225 for real. I did however do a bit of bullshytin. I called up and said I could get the same parts for way less from an online retailer (including shipping). He bit......then gave me a really good mark down. I gave him the old...."I would much rather give you my money if you can at least match the price". He didn't ask for a print out or anything so I jumped at the opportunity.

So, I guess I hear what your saying about feeling the difference between the H's and S's,..... would be cool for comparison I guess. But the TRD shocks/struts are supposed to improve performance right? In conjuction with switching out the springs, I may as well switch the shocks/struts while I'm in there no?

I'm running the same setup. That's a good price on the shock/strut set!! I'm pretty happy with it too. Add a progress rear sway. That will really help. I always prefer to change out shocks/struts when I install springs. Saves me time from having to install twice . :D
