ok so i really like how bigger rims look...but what are the disadvantages. If you get bigger rims with the low profile tires, how much will it affect the ride, handling, etc.? Do u always gotta look out for potholes and such? I heard they can mess up your rims/tires. What will they do to them? Thanx

 

I see some cars with too big wheels. They look rather funny. There is a lmit depending on the car's design how far you want to go. On SCION, I think 17 is the limit. I saw xA with 18" parked near my house yesterday, it looked little funny. WHeels killed the overall design of the car. Regarding disadvantages, you will lose the ride quality. I used to drive Civic with 35 aspect ratio tires. The ride was too harsh. I have xA and am now looking for 16" wheels. I strongly believe it is not the size, but where wheels are (offset) is more important.
