Default Tire Opinions Needed

Hey all,

So I've narrowed it down to 2 tires I'm looking at, but I wanted to check here first to see if any of you have these and can give some reviews/opinions on them.

I'm looking at getting either Falken Ziex Ze 512's or Kumho Ecsta ASX's.

My main concerns are wet-road capability (the stock Goodyears hydroplane like crazy for me and I want them off my box) and also road noise.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Atomic

I've owned two sets of the Falken Ziex 512s and they're great tires. I had them in 215/35/18 on my xB and they were great. Good all-around traction and they were very good in the wet. I haven't had any experience with the Kumho MXs, though.

I had Nankang NS1s on a Civic and they were the worst tires I had ever owned. Mine were horrible in the wet, poor dry traction and were noisy. However, the Civic was stolen and the Nankangs (and Rotas) were never recovered.

I've had both. Both are great. Assuming you don't have staggered wheels, Kumhos have the edge IMO because they can be rotated side to side!
