I am looking for a set of rims with a nice size lip. This car is my daily driver and at the moment it is not lowered. I am not sure wether I want to lower it with springs or bags yet.....My question to everyone who has knowledge in the fat lip rim specialty is .......What is a safe rim to buy that there is not a whole lot of modification to do. I don't want to buy a rim that after I lower the car they will rub or I have to roll the lip. I want the fat lip and cambered look without the rubbing....Is that possible?? Just trying to get info from the experienced....Size of the rim and offset I need to know....I would like a 19 but I think I would be pushing my luck....Probly no less than a 16 though....... CAN ANYONE HELP ME????? all input is helpful

 

I am rockin NKB 16's. They are 16x9 all around with a 30 offset. Running OTG rear spacers and TanabeDf springs. I have Falken 215/40/16 tires and I have no rubbing issues at my height. I also have almost a 4.5" lip. Let me know if you have questions

 

I like the nkb 16x9 mesh rims. Where did you buy them? How is the ride on those tires streched like that. So no issues with rubbing cause if I spend that kind of money on rims I don't want any problems agian very nice

 

Short bus would you consider your ride vip style?

 

I got them from memoryfab.com the only place I could find them. The ride is ok, no different from any other low pro tire. Nope no rubbing issues. My ride is JSTYLE lol (Jordan is my name)

 

Nice......if you don't mind me asking what was your total cost and how long did it take to get the rims....Like I said I think I'm gonna go with the mesh rims...Just curious what I am going to need to do .....do you have any issue with your turning?????What else will I need to mount the rims camber plates,spacers.......anything else exactly

 

Sorry Richdog, I'm the only one that can sport the mesh nkb's...hehe j/k. They are really nice. Expect to wait at least a month or more after you purchase them till they arrive. I got em same place as Jordan. I think its the only place that imports them.

Look at my profile to see the wheel and spring specs. The only rubbing I had was before I put the rear spaces on. The rear tire was rubbing on the inside against the trailing arm. The OTG 10mm spacers fixed that and I have absolutely no rubbing and no problem when turning.
I would recommend asking for the hubcentric rings with the wheels, you may or may not need them, but its good to have them just in case.

 

Well I hope you aren't that upset but I really like those rims........As for a price what was your total price to get them to your door????? you got any pictures of your ride I would really like to see your camo box with them on

 

Rims, tires, and spacers I am guessing around almost 2k that is rough depending on what kinda deal you can pull on the wheels, and what tires you rock

Mine were about the same with tires. Short bus has 9", mine are 8". Heres a pic.

not sure who scooped up the other set of NKB 16x9 but other than that it is just me and 1epoxybox...Great wheels if you get some you will be very pleased

 

The 16X9s looks with the stretch and the lip looks like a perfect combo for an xB. It must look awesome if it was slammed with some air suspension.

Those may be my wheels on oneslowxa's car. I shipped my wheels to Philly, not sure tho. I just decided that the 16's didn't fit with my car very well. if they were 18's I would have loved them. My car just didn't pull off the look.

i have a quick question as well maybe i can get some help...i have 17's not sure of the specs but i got 205/40/17 tires on my box with rs*r springs and i rub in the rear when i dip.....i have about inch or so but i still hit ..anyways can i use a camber to help it or should i just roll the fenders anyways??did any of ya roll yours?? heres a pic of my rear to give a idea ...
