Default Images of the Next Toyota Corolla

As found on The Hollywood Extra:

This is the first picture of the new Corolla for 2007.
It might be a Japanese version of the sedan.
But it should be very very close to the one we'll get in the US.
The current Asian sedan and the US model are almost the same cars, except for the lights and some details.
And this is really nothing special. It even seem more boring than the current one.
A big disappointment.

No words on US engines yet. The rest of the world will get a choice of 1.5 Liter and 1.8 Liter.

I will post much more soon. Keep checking...

Not much better from that angle, is it?

Again, our US model might have different lights. And that might be it...

looking at this and the prius thread if they're going to re-design take some hints from the responses they've been getting from the new camry it looks way more agressive and is very well accented. very few complaints about how it looks. more agressive is not always a bad thing. they seem to be going conservitive with some of these other models. it could just be a computer mock up though too.

Man how dissapointing it seems like toyota keeps coming out with slow boring cars. This looks like somthing an old lady would drive. I want to see somthing all wheel drive and turbocharged. I want a toyota that kills civics and STI's WTF? Is anybody else feelin me?

The front lines remind of the late 90's IS300. I dont really like it. They should just get rid of the Corolla all together. Unless they wanna release a rally version or bring back the corolla wagon. That would be awesome. I think there is a lack of great wagons in a lower price bracket these days....

I don't think they need a performance model of the Corolla. I think it is more suited for families rather than younger people. I'd love to see a rally Matrix though; I think that is a nice looking car.

You must be thinking about a different Lexus, because the IS300 wasnt out in the 90's, and didnt undergo any cosmetic changes.

It looks funny. . . and downright fishy. I don't think it will hit the US looking like that. Everything is getting Toyota's new design theme, and this just doesn't fit in with the rest of the line. We'll just have to wait and see.

i agree it looks like the current jdm corolla...

the corolla is a fuel efficient, compact car, i dont see it going anywhere soon. They do need to quit following that "cute" look and find some lines more like the lexus styles theyve been putting out

It just looks so simple. There's no much to it. Who likes that?
