Default question about swaybars on xb

hi peeps,

does anyone here have hotchkis swaybars on their xb? i got mine installed at a place i probably should not have, and i've been driving around with my xb creaking all over the place. i had toyota check it, they said the bars were loose and tightened them for me, which made it a little better... but i am just wondering how they are supposed to feel. i had another xb before, so i know what the difference feels like in driving.

any comments?

also, my compliments to scion/toyota of el cajon. some good guys over there...

There is a possibility they didnt lube up the bushings when they put it on...and that can make it squeak

Hiya J,

Thanks for the props, hopefully our service guys have been taking care of you. Let me know if you need me to go over there and crack the whip!
Where did you get the work done? I've been thinking about the sway bar kit for my own ride too. Do you think it drives better or worse than before? Do you notice a difference other than the squeaking noise?

You should come out to Fusion on wed for the next meet! We're starting to get some pretty good turnouts again!

Do they make a noticable difference in teh driving feel of the car and also do the braces make a difference also? I want something that will cuase the car to tip less and also want to stiffen teh car up but dont want to sacrifice drivability to much.

I added the Tein H springs, and my car handles much better and the ride is much softer. And only a 1" drop (pics in my profile). If you haven't added springs yet, I would recommend these first. I didn't expect such a dramatic improvement.

well, not really... i wonder though if it will make more of a difference when the car loosens up (it has less than 500 miles on it). right now i'm just taking it easy and not flipping around turns anyway.... we shall see.
