Attn: partshippers / Progress Coilovers
I'm ready to order a coilover kit and pretty much had my mind set on the Progress set. Upon trying to order from Partshippers.com it said that they were out of stock. I've sent 2 emails via their web page with no response as to when they anticipate having the kits available. I'm not sure if I want to do business with a company that can not return simple e-mails. If anyone has an alternative way to contact Partshippers.com please let me know. My alternative is just ordering TEINs. The Scion is approaching a week old and it is tired of having its roof in the clouds. Thanks for any help that anyone can provide.
here's my story with
the Progress Coils:
the Progress coils are $100 less than
the TEIN Basics, and do not have rear shocks.
reason why i went with Progress
is because the 1-4"drop.
not sure why they're not answering
your e-mails but mine did not come
when they were expected to either.
they told me step by step what
was going on and when the kit was
ready, they next day aired it.
good luck.

Anyway, it turns out Goldline had sent me some tC springs for the rear and I rode around with them like that for 3 months before I installed a set on someone elses ride and noticed they didn't fall out when you jacked it up.
I called Goldline and they promptly sent me out a new set of back springs, just kind of funny.
Lol^ that sucks, but is kinda funny. Did you keep the tC springs? If so, you should sell them!
I remember people on here complaing about 2 years ago, after they put coilovers on their box...They were saying they litterally "fell out" when they jacked up the car.

I really doubt the Progress Techs do that, and I'm not really sure what happenned to those springs. I think I gave one to someone to use as a hood prop at a car show......lol.
So from what I'm reading the member that goes by the Username LIP is the guy that I'm trying to track down. No reply from him yet or the email via website. I'm beginning to seriously question the service of Partshippers.com. I have read that they have some of the best products for the price and I would love to give them my business if they are willing to make things right.
i'll reply in a bit....but our email system has been down all weekend. i'll reply when i get into work
sometimes things our out of our control...ask anyone i've done business with...we are prompt...i don't think not answering your emails over the weekend(which i normally do) should give ANY doubt to our customer service. We pride ourselves on it.

The answer to your question.
yes they are out of stock. I won't know an exact date until Wednesday as to when they will be ready for shipment. These are hand built units. They are slightly behind(with many vehicles to build for)...but i ask for 5 sets or more at a time normally and lately i've been selling out of them too soon. Progress makes all of their stuff by hand and inhouse. They send shock/strut bodies and swaybars etc out for powdercoating. They have some of the alluminum pieces made (outsourced) but all assembly is at Progress. This isn't junk what so ever. Its not mass produced...they have very good quality control. The guy who actually builds these(yes its one person right now) is away til Wednesday...thats the reason for my date. I have 3 sets presold already awaiting for Progress to build them in a timely manner. My next order will be for a larger quantity. If your willing to wait...the progress set will make you very very happy. If not...i understand and thanks for thinking of using us and the products we sell.
But...i want to add...we DO provide accurate updates to the very best of our knowledge and try to keep our customers happy. I understand you sent some emails but without service i wasn't able to receive them til today (monday). You also PM'd me late last night regarding the email issue. Without that PM...i would have to have run across this post by chance to even know you had concerns. I PM'd you 4.5hours after you messaged me and i did that today at 6:30am in the morning Easter Standard time. Thats customer service.

I will accept that your email service was down. When the site confirms that the message has "been successfully sent" and then I don't get a reply all last week is what I was worried about. I had to sign up for Scionlife to try to get in touch with you. I will place my order based off what word you get on Weds. Thanks for the explanation and I am glad I was able to reach you here. This forum speaks very highly of you and I will credit them for me not already ordering TEINs. Keep me updated. Thanks again.
I'm ready to order somthing soon. The wheels should be here in a few days and I'm going to need to lower the 4x4 once the wheels are on. I'm still curious how long its going to be before the Progress products are ready. I now see that the rear sway bar that I was also wanting to order is not in stock. I better order the Strup exhaust from partshippers before they run out of those too.
Hey soundbox, Lip is a great guy, when I ordered my trup exhaust from him he was more then great. Customer service is number one in my book. He's possibly one of the best sponsors on SL. Just be patient, I understand you want the B to be set up, but it's rare that you get quality product and A-1 service. Trust me I rolled around on steelies for two years before I found a set I really liked. It well worth the wait.
The votes on the pole are on his side but only by a hair. He has been very honest with me and has the majority support from everyone that I have spoken to on ScionLife. The original reason for this post is to make sure that I don't place a order for somthing that I will end up waiting a month to get. From what people say the Progress is worth the wait but how long of a wait? Still waiting for reply on how long it would be. That will be the deciding factor. Thanks for your input.
