Daytime driving lights.....
Is there anyway to "give" the xB Daytime running lights? From my understanding, daytime running lights are simply the high-beams turned on, but they only recieve a low voltage thus keeping them on, but not blinding anyone.
I've always like the way that daytime running lights loooked, plus they are a great safety measure to take to ensure you are seen.

what i plan to do is just take a 9005 HID 3000K kit and wire it up to the battery and to a switch.. however i have a tC so my set up will be a lil different
but the DRL(DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS) will be housed in the high beams, so basically i will lose my high beams, but i can use them via a switch..
im mot sure whether or not the xB has two housings for hi and lo or if its just one, you would know better

its a single bulb unit. Easiest way to give the xB DRLs is to wire up a relay.

is there a simple way to wire just the high beams on a lower voltage to give them the DRL appearance but get turned on only with the parking lights? And of course still maintain the ability to turn on the true high beams from the cockpit?
This is all pretty easy. You can split power from the parking lights, add a resistor and get the lower voltage. If you just want DRL without the parking lights you need power, resistor, and a relay to turn them on when the car is running.
