Default What is the Fallen Heroes Car?

My name is Robert Basil and I am a proud veteran of the United States Army. I wanted a way to help show my remembrance of our troops who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan and also bring awareness to the general public of the great organizations that support our troops and their families. The Fallen Heroes Car project is NOT "anti-war" or "pro-war" it is a "PRO TROOPS" project.

While trying to come up with an idea I kept noticing all of the Scion xB's driving around the Phoenix, Arizona area with full vinyl wraps (vinyl designs covering the entire car) being used as a "driving billboard" for local and national business. Then it dawned on me, why not do the same thing with my brand new Scion xB to show support for our troops? When completed the Fallen Heroes Car will have a full body vinyl wrap designed by the great team of artists at http://www.bluemedia.com

Once the Fallen Heroes Car is completed I plan on taking it to car shows and parades all over the southwest to bring attention to the great organizations who help our troops such as "Any Soldier", "The Fallen Heroes Fund", "Homes For Our Troops" and "Operation Hero Miles" to name just a few.

Thank You,

Robert Basil

Darren,

Can we make this a "sticky" so it does not get buried?

Thanks!

More than half those guys blowing us up and stuff are NOT from Iraq. They are jihadists from everywhere else! Yes the war sucked ___ and I really don't know why I went other to help out the people but to hell if those insurgents were "noble" using kids and innocent civilians as cover for their acts and even killing them in the process which I know they did not want to be part of.

Is it a just war? No. Should we pull out? Yes. But what the troops need the most right now is our support. Even when I got a simple handshake and thank you, it really touched me becasue I still knew that people still remember us out there and that keeps up our moral to keep fighing to stay alive!

I just got off the phone with Mike Greco from Blue Media and we both agree that once we get the design rolling and a "mock up" is posted on the website people will be more willing to donate and we can start calling around to the news media around town.

Blue Media has lowered it's deposit price to start the design and all we need is $108 more! So please donate!

That's a really great idea. Honestly, I'm pretty indifferent about the whole war. Not sure what to think of it. But showing support for OUR troops is really awesome. I wanna see how this goes down!

All we need is $58 more start the design work so we can get some mock up's for everyone to view. I know it's hard to donate to something if you can't see what the final project will look like but we are stuck like a bad chicken and egg joke.

Even if you can only donate $5 every little bit counts!

Mike said once we have the deposit it would only take 3-4 days to get some mock up's online for everyone to view and vote on. I would add the last $58 to my current donation but I don't get paid until this Friday.

Thank you VERY much to all who have donated allready!

Wow, how nice of you! Even though you need help financially on the project your still using your car and paint. I for one do not agree with the war but NEVER THE LESS we have to support those guys overseas fighting this thing. Unfortunately I am at my banking limit now and cant help you, but I just wanted to say that is an awesome thing to do for those troops.

Visited the Blue Media HQ today. Had a great chat with a lot of the Blue Media staff. Took a tour of the offices and shop and spent some time talking about the Fallen Heroes Car project. Took a few photos of the huge Blue Media vinyl printers in action. You can view them on the website.

P.S. Only $33 more to get the design work started so we can get some mock ups! Let's go!

The Fallen Heroes Project design is now underway! We have paid the design deposit and the staff at Blue Media have told me to expect the first mock-up of the design to be finished between June 30th, and July 5th!

Once the design mock up is sent to me I will be posting it on the Fallen Hereos website for everyone to comment on. I am not "God" on this project. The Fallen Heroes project is OUR project and I want input from everyone on the mock up once it is completed!

A very special thank you to everyone who donated so far!
