hey guys, i need some help from anyone who has shipped wheels and tires, i have my wheels and tires in fairfax, va; and i need to ship them to austin tx. someone please help i need to know how i can ship them and how much it will cost, any and all help will be appreciated.
p.s. ive never shipped wheels
p.s. ive never shipped wheels
I've shipped wheels by taping a piece of cardboard on each side of the wheel. The buyer was cool with that. No damage occured. You can try that. It cost about 90 from ohio to cali.
Use FedEx. I've shipped wheels before. UPS will charge you all kinds of additional charges if you: A) Don't have then in boxes (e.g. tape the ends with cardboard) and B) If they aren't new; they have tried to charge my friends for a "cleanliness fee" because the items aren't 100% clean.
LIke 06PolarWhitexB said, tape the ends with cardboard; leave the tires exposed. Ship with FedEx.
