Default Toyota Mulling Mood Sensitivity

Still more science fiction than fact, and I'm sure years away. But an interesting idea nonetheless...

Toyota is reportedly working with researchers from Stanford University and Edinburgh-based Affective Media to incorporate mood sensitivity into cars. By monitoring the tone of drivers' voices, the technology senses if drivers are stressed, angry, or sleepy -- and reacts, for instance, by playing soothing music or proposing better routes to escape traffic.

The only mood shaping needed is a little more beef under your right foot.
I'm already married , why would I want my car telling me what to do.
Big miss here

The best part is what the car does if it senses you're horny!

Hahaha.... what does it do if you're ____ed. Delay the throttle inputs lock the windows and cut the curcit for the horn so you can have road rage, and then play Bach or something and blast the A/C to chill you out. I'm rite there with 05CAMO, I don't need my car telling me what to do. Got a G/F for that. This system would take all the fun out of cruising when you get ____ed or need to get away. I'd hope theyed put in a kill switch for this thing. lol, im still laughing about the previous post " The best part is what the car does if it senses you're horny!

What else.......it will eject you and your passenger into the back seat with some seat warmers, A.C. warm, and love songs ("let's get it on!") Hope that backseat is roomy LMHO!

I was sort of imagining the ultimate in self-adjusting leather seats.

This would almost be useful if it could sense when you've had too many / anything to drink and drive you home automatically or something along those lines

A car that plays soothing music when the driver gets stressed out? Interresting. I can just imagine Parisian rush hour traffic with Toyota car stereos blasting out Enya like it's Mötörhead.

If it's a Camry, it will take you to White Castle. Just don't pick up Neil Patrick Harris along the way...

A while back I read about this. They were also experiementing with a system that measured how hard you were gripping the steering wheel, and it made the headlights turn a shade of red as a warning to other people that you were having road rage.

I know it sounds like a joke, but I'm not making this up...
