Default Can I fix these?

I have some Acura Integra rims. As you can see in the pic the rims has some small stains. I used the Mothers polishing ball and mothers rim polish to clean them up. I just can't get it to clean completely. Any ideas of what to do?

go to taylor's do it yourself center and find a worker there and ask for metal cleaner.... they have this stuff in a can that has a cotton candy like paper substance filled with some liquid that smells like kerosine. you just pull a small shred of it off and polish it on, then polish off with a paper towel....works wonders. i cant remember the name of the stuff

blue can, red/white letters.

Are they polished or chrome?

Those almost look like pitted chome. If they are there isn't much you can do other then get them redipped.

There not chrome. The rims are just stock Integra rims.

btodailly no taylors here but I have seen places that sell what you are talking about.

I was also thinking of wetsanding with like a 2000 or 1500 grit. I will see what happens

The Cotton Candy type of stuff that he is referring to is call "Never Dull". Works great on polished surfaces.

The solution to your problem is Wenol and a great big dose of elbow grease. You can also use a dremel if you are super lazy. Wenol will work wonders on cutting through the crap that can build up on polished aluminum.

And it is good enough that a local wheel company that builds steel wheels, repairs aluminum wheels and does polishing uses the stuff for their polishing jobs. And you ought to see the wheel polishing machines they have.
