Default Toyota Matrix M-Theory 2500 Limited Editions

The M-Theory adds several sporty exterior enhancements including
unique Speedway Blue paint with matching rear deck lid spoiler, a large
chrome exhaust tip and M-Theory badges. M-theory also features 17-inch
Caldina alloy wheels with P215/50R17 tires, four wheel disc brakes, logo
floor mats, and an individually numbered limited edition plaque. The
M-Theory will also feature enhanced vehicle handling thanks to a standard
sport tuned suspension and sport strut tower brace will also enhance
vehicle handling.
Only 2,500 units of the special edition Matrix M-Theory will be built.
The Matrix M-Theory special edition package will carry a base
manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $1,500.
Looks like Toyota is going to start using the same marketing tools that Scion has proven so effective!

i don't get why you'd get the M-theory without the 2ZZ engine???

aren't they discontinuing the XRS and therefore the engine?

The pics aren't that impressive, really. The wheels ARE nice, however, and I like that they upgraded the suspension and brakes.

But they MAIL you the plaque in the mail AFTER purchase. NOT as cool as Scion, IMO.

Spot the difference? Let's see... the one on top has AWD and 3S-GTE engine... Lol (Caldina GT4... not sure if there's a non-awd version). I really hope Toyota comes back with some sort of AWD Turbo sports car in the US again. It sucks we couldn't get the 6th Gen GT4 Celica! That thing is HOT.

My other car is a Matrix...I like it alot, but it is extremely hard to locate Caldina parts and accessories. Unfortunately, there are no conversions to the 3S-GTE engine. Maybe for the XRS.

Not worth it IMO. I was hoping for colored seats or alcantara seats. You can't tell it's a special edition when you are sitting inside (unless you look at the badges). I do like the upgraded suspension though.

Say bye to the Corolla XRS also. Toyota is about to re-vamp their entire small car lineup, with the Corolla in 08. There will more than likely be a back-to-basics Celica coming back before too long, and a Supra as well, all NA.

THE CALDINA looks like it could pass for a matrix. is it possible to say that the caldina could b a look into the future design for the matrix redesign?

I like the rear spoiler on the M-Theory. It sits up high instead of trailing off the back.
