Default No Bump Stoppers Installed, Will the struts be okay?

I just had new TRD Struts, springs, and shocks installed, but the mechanic didnt install the Bump stops on the struts. Has anyone had any problems without using bump stops, am I going to bottom out. He said that he would've had to cut them and that they wouldn't really do much anyways.
Anyone have any input on this. I am a newbie with suspension stuff.

He should've cut a few millimeters off and put them back in. You will bottom out every now and then. My suggestion: have them put back in. You're gonna need the additional travel even though it may seem minimal.

I went back there to ask about getting the stops put in and he still insisted that I really didnt need them. He said as long as dont go over curbs I dont need them. I still felt uncomfortable about not having them, you know just in case I hit a deep pothole or big bump.. So I went some where else to have it done, they cut them to fit the new springs.

Aww...
I would have put them in for ya.
All ya had to do was say that's what you want.
Sorry for any confusion.

Yeah, I didnt want to keep bugging ya about it. No worries, you're still the Best Mechanic.
After I left that day a friend of mine offered to put 'em in, So I figured what the heck let him do it.
I still give you the credit for Pimpin my Ride

Take it back and demand they reinstall your bumpstops. The drop with the TRD springs will still use the stock bumpstops. I seem to remember already telling you to have them reinstalled.
