Default Hubcentric ring...yes or no

I just got new wheels...Haven't had a chance to mount the tires yet. So, the aren't on the car fully just yet. But , I sorta have mounted them to the car (Xa 06)...The hub on the car is smaller than the opening on the new wheel. New wheel opening is about 2 1/4 in and the mounting plate on the car is about 2in. Will I be needing to run a hubcentric ring with this set up? If so, are they one size fits all? Would Pepboys or autozone have these? There is absolutley no play in the wheel while it's on the car.

Yes, you will need the rings. They will insure you have no vibrations. Not sure what size needed tho. Can't remember.

Just screw the bolts in an even pattern. I ran larger bore wheels before on the same hub and it didn't vibrate.

I agree. I bought a tire and wheel bundle on the internet and the place I bought from didn't bother to ship the rings with everything else. The new rubber sat on the garage floor for another week till the rings showed up.

The rings are not that expensive.

Bought my set up from www.treadepot.com Everything came including the rings. I would advise getting some.

Thanks all...I ended up getting a set of rings and I happy to say the new wheels are on and love them. Already did the shake down run with them...no problems with vibrations or wobbles. Car tracks fine. Just gotta clean up the car a bit before i take a whole mess of pictures.

Glad to hear you did the right thing. I got my first set of wheels without the rings and they vibrated bad. After the rings it was smooth. They should come with the appropriate rings whenever you buy wheels IMHO.
Be sure to post up some pics of them there new shoes.
