Default Toyota Endo to Compete with Smart Car?

Looks familiar? It’s the Toyota Endo and it looks like Toyota is preparing itself for the launch of Smart vehicles introduced to the USA. Looking like it came from the future, the Toyota Endo features a smooth body for a distinct appearance, making it a great alternative to the vehicles currently offered by Smart.

Toyota designers say that they achieved the inspiration of the Endo from the Smart and Peugeot 1007. The Endo will feature a wrap-around windscreen, vertical tailgate, as well as a two-tone bodywork. The Endo also feature clever wide-opening doors to improve access to the cabin, unlike the Peugeot 1007. And to top Smart, the Endo will feature room for 4 passengers.

they arent meant to crumple. if they are anything like the other smart cars, they have a roll cage type design, so that if hit, they roll instead of crumpling. much much MUCH safer than trying to crumple

Ya my 93 Prelude was just retarted. You couldnt even fit a small child in the back seat without putting your legs across the other seat.

lots of t2B influence there...almost like t2B meets the fuse...

Looks like the bucket ride from Disneyland. So that's what happens when the xA and the xB have a kid.

Nice! I want one! I saw a smart car in my parking lot the other day and was amazed at how good looking they are for being such a small whimpy little thing. But I have a feeling this one will be much better.

Gas needs to be back up at $3.50/gallon or higher for that thing to sell.

Unfortunately, I see more and more large suvs now that gas is under $2.50/gallon.

If they are talking about four passengers--it can not be like the picture. There looks to be room for a sack of groceries behind those seats.............
