Default Advice on choosing fog lights

So I have come to the next stage for my modding bug. I am getting tired of not having light out on the sides of the car stretching across the lanes and onto the sides of the road. So Im looking into PIAA but they are EXPENSIVE and I really dont know what style/shape will offer me the best lighting. I may do a custom set up and have them each individually angled towards the sides but who knows. Any help is appreciated.

Another quality light company is Hella. I'd try to find some w/ a composite/plastic housing....less corrosion that way. Please post if you find something...you're not the only one steering away from the over-priced Scion units.

Bro you took it out of context......chill out. However it's odd that those topics get more replies, or at leats replies at all while asking about some fog lights gets none after 30+ views. So no worries, not bashing your car or mods

Default re: fog lights

hey guys...

i just got an xB this past saturday and it came with the fog light option.. which i think doesnt really do ya any good unless you replace those bubls with piaa.. or some other aftermarket bulbs.

in previous cars i chose to install piaa driving/fog lights, these are the set ups that i chose at the time based on style of car (shape/lines)

96 ford probe se - went with piaa 1500 xt ion crystal fog lights (they were a rectangular shape and were identical to the probe GT fog lights.. but with much greater lighting and visibility

97 civic ex coupe - went with piaa 1200 ion crystal.. since the car was more of a bug-type looking front end.. i gave it a circular fog light to compliment the style of the car..

my 02 celica gts.. had fog lights stock so i never decided to change them out but i did want the yellow celica TRD fogs but they stopped making them

NOW on to the Xb finally! I think that here in NC... with not that many lamp posts at night.. piaa or hella or even catz (if they are still in business) would be the way to go
i definitely prefer quality over looks. im definitely not interested in halo-angel eye type fog lights... so i think the best option for the STYLE (boxy) would be to choose the PIAA 1500 XT's in either clear or ion crystal whichever u prefer.

I found a really good deal on the lights, as cheap as $205 with free shipping on amazon. in the past ive paid over $260 for piaa's so thats a good deal these days.

i would assume custom mount in the lowest grill on the xb.. which would require some cutting of the black honeycomb grill... maybe even safely using a torch to melt the ends of the grill that has been cut to make it look finished and stock (and not like someone took a hacksaw to the grill lol

here is a picture of what im talkin about:

i think this would go rather well with the boxy design of the xb

Default fog lights

the pic doesnt do the 1500xt's justice.. they are sturdy and very classy

i dont know if u can see the fogs in this picture very well... but here is what i was talkin about when i had the 1500 xt's on my ford probe back in the day.
