There was a guy on here selling the fog light mod for the drivers side. It is supposed to increase the air for those like myself having a CAI that takes up air from there.
Any ideas or suggestions on how this was done...dremel maybe and some fine tuning? And what is being used around the hole, a grommet of some sort?
Any ideas or suggestions would be great as I'd like to do this on mine as well...

Ok... the fog light covers were home made. I actually bought the one for the drivers side that the guy was selling on here. By the time it got here I had already made my own and I decided to do it to both sides to even it out. I just cut the holes out with a dremmel and then used ports that they used for subwoofer enclosures. I know it sounds ghetto, but I think it looks awesome. I get comments all the time about it. As for the grille, it might sound ghetto as well, but I just dremmeled out the bottom 2 slots and then used gutter guard for the mesh. Total cost for both mods, about $15. Ha ha! I'm a poor college student! I plan on doing the top half and painting the mesh either black or white. I'll post pics when it's all done.
I agree...I think it looks great. I have a dremel, I just need to make sure I have the right bit for cutting. I'll pick up one of those ports somewhere, but I'll probably also put something in there so it's not completely open through...some sort of material...maybe to match my lower grills.
Thanks for the info!!!

For the "rocket launchers" you can use speaker box ports or velocity stacks from a motorcycle carburetor, they come in chrome and stainless if that's what you're looking for. Google speaker ports and you'll find thousands of different sizes. I've also seen someone use some mesh and cut out a square. Then they used weather stripping around the cutout edge of the foglight cover to clean it up. It looked good if you want that "square" look. Also, if you have the Injen SRI, the filter sits right behind and up from the foglight cover, so you are essentially giving it nice, fresh, cool air.
