Default 19x8...215 or 225 tires? (Axis TC Evo's)

looking to put a set of graphite Axis TC Evos in 19x8 on my PW xB. wondering if i should go with 215/35/19 or 225/35/19 size tires. what are you guys recomendations as far as rubbing or anything like that is concerned? pictures would be helpful if you have any for reference. Yes, i did search...a lot, found a lot of good info but I still want my own thread. Will i need spacers for this size rim and if so what size? thanks in advance guys and gals

this would be your best bet with 19s if you are lowered. if not lowered and plan to stay that way then go with more rubber.

i was thinking about getting the goldlines because they have the 2" drop. would that be too low for 19's and cause rubbing?

with 19's they might. but it usually depends on the tire size. why not go conservative? tien h tech's look nice and with the 19's i doubt you'll rub as long as you get an appropriate tire.

because what i'm really looking for is the wheel to fill in the wheel well with no gap. i dont want to slam the car on the ground.. but i think tein h-techs drop is like 0.9" and i really dont think that's going to make much a difference.

i could be wrong though..

save up and get coilovers.. alot less hastle in the long run..
go with a 215-35 series tire... it has more meat on it than the same series with an 18" wheels and rides fine imo, and you wont run into rubbing issues....

You're going to get a little bit of stretch on those 215 tires with those wheels. It won't be anything extreme, but you'll notice it.

We have 205s on my wife's 7.5" wide rims and you can see the stretch. If you don't like that kind of thing it can really ____ you off.

JSYK.

On the springs, don't go with the Goldlines. Yes, they drop far, but they also ride poorly in my experience. Also remember that if you're weighting the back with speakers and stuff it will ride lower back there naturally. As previously mentioned, coilovers may be your best bet.

On that note, i have 215/35 on my 7.5 18's and wish i had gone with a 225... its not streched but it still "feels" like it is when you look at the border.

I guess i look for it more after a friend of mine had an 8in 18 and put 215/35 still
and it didnt look so hot not having the tire reach the ridge of the lip...
Just my $.02. Go with the style that suits you and check out examples at a local Scion meet to be safest...
