So I finished debadging this afternoon. The xB came off without a problem, however, the Scion emblem revealed a light stripe right where the "SCION" part was. So now, from about five feet away, you can see this light stripe of color where the badge once was. Not a huge deal, but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts as to making the color difference less obvious. Thanks.
i didnt take mine off till after a year n a few months n mine had a noticeable paint fade polish wax n like what xb stud said a few washes itll get less noticeable to tha point u cant anymore

No, the badges are held on by double stick tape... really resiliant tape, I might add. It takes a little work to get everything clean, but the hatch looks really nice after debadging.

The paint under the badges is virgin. Wax the area good and let it get used to being exposed. It should "catch up" with the surrounding paint in no time.
I debadged and detailed mine the same day. This worked for me.
1. Wash with good soap. (meguiars nxt is my fav.)
2. Clay bar do the entire car, really work the clay over the area the emblems were.
3. meguiars has a 3 step system, the 1st step is a paint cleaner. It is a chemical cleaner with no abrasives. Use it. Use it liberaly over the spots with the emblems.
4. polish with step 2
5. Use a high quality wax. I know it seems like a lot of work but it will make every thing very uniform . You can't tell that my car was debadged. When I did this initially you could only tell if you looked really close.
