Paint.
So I have the 06 BSP XB. Unfortunately, I have several minor scratches and chips in my paint. Looks like someone actually set something down on my hood and then pulled it across. Then I have a minor chip in the drivers side passenger door that looks like a little bit of bird crap. I'm guessing a stupid rock flew up off the road and chipped it. I've read through the thread and I've seen various ways of fixing this. One being the RockBlocker, which I'm really interested in, but can't afford. Does anyone know of an affordable way that I can repair this? Also, I'm looking to do some cheap (but good) mods on my car. Any ideas?
The only way to totally remove damage that is is thru the paint is to repaint that panel (door, hood or whatever). A skilled technician can make a nearly invisible repair on most colors using airbrush on or brush on and sand techniques. Check with local car dealers to see if they know an excellent touchup man in your area...or spend the bigger bucks for a full panel repair (but beware, again a skilled technician is needed to get good results painting panels too).
Price will vary. Here in Atlanta good touchup guys get $35-80 per spot usually with some minimum charge ...maybe $75?? More spots they generally charge less per spot (only gotta match the color once ya know).
