Default Rims with Rivets

has anyone ever dremel'ed off the rivets on rims? what happens if you do? does it kill the durability of rims?

the rims i like all have the rivets on the lip, and i dont like it. is there any other way to remedy this situation?

it depends on the wheel most of them are fake from what i've seen the real ones are usually a multi peice wheel. most of the time you can find something without them in the same style you want.

Alot of fake rivets are plastic or potmetal, thats why most chrome shops won't chrome wheels with fake rivets. I've seen more then one set, that you could just pry off the rivets with a knife, but they usually leave a little ugly spot, since they are glued on. I'd just try to find some wheels without them, or live with the rivets.

and theres no way to remove the glue residue? would goo gone or something like that work? and would rubbing the area down with a polish make it look any better?

rivets are the suck.

rivets imo are only ok if they're real but that equates to very expensive.

sorry, took me a bit to get back to you all.

anyways, they are the konig four plays (save the 'cheap rim' banter for later), and have those annoying as rivets on them.

now, i might get them powder coated as well, so if the rivets are fake and wont tear up the material then that would be great.
