Default Scion XB eBay Sonar Headlights Mod

I was thinkin about putting in these $120.00 eBay headlights for about a week and a half. “Should I, maybe not, maybe I should! Naaaa.”
Well, my car is only three weeks old, projectors look so sick!, I just had too!

Nice.

I really want those, but I'm still scared to get them from ebay. Steve from bbist says the ones he sells have never fogged, so Ill probably buy from there.

Mine haven't fogged up yet, I will check again in the early morning, the cars outside and its pretty damp and cold in the morning here. But, the car wash I went through didn't fog them at all.

I was more at ease with the whole fog thing after reading the Scion XB Owners Manual about OEM Headlights on Page 222

"The inside of the lens of exterior lights such as headlights may temporarily fog up when the lens becomes wet in the rain or in a car wash. This is not a problem because the fogging is caused by the temperature difference between the outside and inside of the lens, just like the windshield fogs up in the rain. However, if there is a large drop of water on the inside of the lens, or if there is water pooled inside the light, contact your Scion dealer."

After reading this, I figured, well, OEM lights fog too. I will take the chance.

Firesquare - I live in Charlotte, so far the projectors are doing great, now I am interested in doing the back lights, seen some interesting post about those!

micaxB - I don't know why, its seems like a lot more work for less. plus you don't have OEMs to fall back on if something goes wrong.

I am guessing that it's for the DOT approved lettering that is on the original lense.

the stock lights fog up. all lights fog up. it has to do with temp differences. if there is water in the housing then you will have a bigger problem. i have had mine since june and have no had a problem. i get lots of comments about them.

Yes, it does look sex...

Steve from bbist said every set he has sold has never had a fogging problem, but they are 40 dollars more. If I wasn't saving for rims

Are they as bright as the stock lights. I had some projector and you could not see at night.

Yes, they seem as bright as stock, the lows have sylvian 9006 and the Highs H1, I went to the auto store and found the sylvian 9006 in Ultra Blue and High Performance White.
