Default Rota Attack 17"x7.5"

I was thinking about these wheels for my tC and I just wanted to know if I would need spacers. These wheels are 48mm offset and I think the stock ones are 45. I was also wondering what the widest tire you can fit on a 7.5 inch wide rim is. Thanks!

Default 17×7.5 ET48

The 17×7.5 ET48 wheels will fit, but they won't look the greatest. You'll lose about 9mm clearance on the inside and the wheels will sit about 3mm further out than your factory wheels. a 17×7.5 ET35 wheel will look much better. I think your car comes with 215/45R17 tires stock. On a 7½" width wheel, I'd stick with your factory tires. If you want wider tires, I'd look for a wheel that is 17×8 ET38 or 17×8.5 ET45 and run a 235/40R17. They'd be a little bit shorter than your stock set up, but only by 5mm, which is less than 1% overall height change.

I want those on my xA (those are my cheap wheel failsafes)... I'd probably end up getting wheel shims and spacers from onetongarage.com...
