Bent is what you're looking for. And yes, it can be fixed. Look up wheel repair in the yellow pages.

my rim got bended? sounds like a ralph wiggum saying! hahahaha

sucks about your rim. yeah, low pro's look nice but when you gotta put up with potholes here in nyc, it's just not worth it. i stick to the steelies and dont even have a small itch to put rims on.

They can be repaired but may be cheaper to replace. I'm surprised the tire survived that. Unless you can find a local place you will have to ship it off and they will ship back when fixed. Check in the back of car mags like autoweek for places that fix them.

The tire might not survive, just because it is holding pressure does not mean that the intergity is in tack. I bent one of my 5zigens on nittos 205/40 rim killers and the tire retained pressure until it was unmounted and the inner tube was bubbled where the bent potion of the wheel laid due to the thrust of pressure from impact on what ever i hit. Just my experience, but something to take into consideration. Oh and save that rim if you decide to replace it, it could be used as a last ditch spare.

My friend owns a repair shop. They usually get 80 to 130 per wheel depending on whats wrong with it and what needs to happen to fix it. If its a cheaper off brand wheel (aka you paid less than 200 per wheel), you are better off just buying a new one. The rim is now going to be weaker since it has been bent...

Same thing happened to me today, I hit a pothole on the verrazano I swear I thought my car was going to fly apart. I have a mild dent barely noticeable, im going to try and wack it back into place in the morning with a rubber mallet or somin, my rims were discontinued from what I heard, its going to be a nightmare to replace em if I have to !

Fully agree! Even if it's less expensive to have the wheel straightened you would be better with a new one.
I'd only repair one that is out of production or super expensive.
