Default Homepage for Flik Rims?

i'm thinking about getting either these

http://www.edgeracing.com/2006/Scion/xB/wheel/1996/

or these

http://www.edgeracing.com/2006/Scion/xB/wheel/1997/

but Edgeracing doesn't supply the offsets and whatnot. i was wondering if Flik had a homepage cause i've been searching google for about 2 hours now and i can't find jack...

exactly, thats why i'm really trying to find thier homepage to get more detailed info about them.

if i can't find what i'm lookin for then i'm gona work on getting some Motegi trak lite's *17x7 42mm offset*.

i like the trak lite's cause they only weigh about 14lbs and are nice and clean. but i'm not familure with a 42mm offset. anyone have 42mm offset on thier box and have a pic i could take a gander at?

You may want to go back to Edge Racing's website because the info on the wheels is listed next to the wheel itsef. PCD (stands for bolt pattern) and ET (stands for offset). They have all the info you need for the wheels.

i'll have to go with the Motegi's then. i really don't want to have to buy shims to fit a 45 on there.

I have et42. If I could do it again, I would get something in the 30's and throw some 10mm shims in the back.

I have the Flik FTD's in Titanium, I got the ones with the 35 Offset. I bought the last 4 they had though. I believe they are going to be getting more in April but I don't know for sure. On the box the wheels came in there was a site but it is dead. www.flikwheels.com I have a pic of my PW around here somewhere with them installed and Kumho ECSTA AST 215/40/17's. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=165512
at the bottom of the thread.

whats the page for them OTG spacers anyway?

i must be sucking on searches lately cause nothing is comming up except freakin forum posts about them...

availability isn't a porblem at the moment as i really don't have 750 to spend on new rims just yet *buying 5, spare can be replaced with 17" and upto 40 series according to my measurements.*

I don't know if there is a website for the OTG. I just emailed Van and he emailed me back then I paypal'd him the money. Although there is also "keoki" I think is his name here on the forums who makes them also. I believe his are a little less expensive.

42 offset is Ok, not great but it will work...Definately get some hub spacers, 10mm ones, and that should do the trick! FYI, I have 17 x 7's in a 40 offset...Im running 10MM hub spacers and 5MM wheel spacers for a total of 15mm...Sits much nicer now...

BTW, PM keoki in the Desert and Salt forums for some nice inexpensive shims...Good luck! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM...

Rub spacers?

theres a question for ya haha

i really don't know much about wheel sizes, i just started learning about the coding of sizes like rim size, width, offset and whatnot. what does the rub spacer do verses what the wheel spacer does. i know the wheel spacers add room from the back side of the wheel/tire to the inner wheel wheld area. but what does the rub spacer do? and where could i go for some if i need?

also, specificly on those Motegi's, they are 7" wide, i'd like to have my tires just about match the width of the rim. i don't want the rim to be wider then the tred and walls of the tire so what should i be going for on tire size?

A perfect size tire for a 17 x 7 inch rim is 215/40/17...However, if you want to fill the wheel well so the gap is smaller you can go with a 215/45/17...I have the 215/40/17 and i'm switching to a 215/45/17...

Ok, a "Hub Spacer" goes behind the hub assembly and a "Wheel Spacer" goes over the studs...With the wheel spacers, you can safely run a 5mm without having to change to a longer stud...Anything bigger than a 5mm "wheel spcer" will require longer studs...

The lower the number of the rim offset the closer it will sit to the outer fender...The higher the offset the wheel will be "sunk in"...

Hope this helps!

ok cool that helps alot, i'll probably go with hub spacers then. i would like the wheels to be about flush with the wheel well bends. what size spacers would i need for this on front and back if i went with the Motegi's at 42mm offset?

If your new rims are a 42 offset I think you should go with atleast 15MM spacers total for the rear and a 5MM for the front...Remember I started off with a 40 offset rim and I have a total of 15MM on the rear of mine...They are not exactly flush but I need a little clearence so I don't rub the out fender when I hit a bump...For the rear on yours, you could even go with a total of 20MM spacers and still be fine...
