Default what size tires for 19x8 +35 offset wheels

i searched and can not find a definitive answer.. i see people using 215-35-19 but isn't that too narrow for a 19" wheel? is the lip of the wheel going to be protruding so much as to scrape pavement? maybe i'm wrong.

questions:
will i rub with 215-35's? (wheel offset is +35 all around)

will i rub with 225-35's?

and if so, what size spacers will solve the issue? if possible i'd like for people that have 19's to answer with experience rather than get a bunch of opinions.. i'd like to buy tires soon and just want a definitive answer

thanks!

The 215-35-19 will fit no problem. Shouldn't have any rubbing issues either.

225's will also fit, but will probably rub up front while making a "hard" turn (read: steering wheel turned to full lock) or when going over a "harsh" bump.

I would recommend OTG spacers for the rear though as they'll look "sucked in". I also recommend rolling your fenders if you are going to add the spacers. Just a lil insurance as your dropped 2". Don't wanna chew up that pretty new sidewall!

I'm sure some of the wheel gurus will chime in shortly. HTH.

thanks for the insightful comment...i never would have thought adding 30+ pounds of rotating mass to each corner would affect my gas mileage.

19x8. i got 2 35mm offset and 2 45mm so i wouldn't need rear spacers. as for tires, i got 215/35/19 Generals. They rub slightly at full lock but i really don't mind. I plan on lowering it about an inch so i don't look like i'm offroading! lol

you should have went crazier with the offset... did they have options like 25+ or even 20+
